Tarheel Stamper - More One Sheet Wonder Cards

Here are some more of the One Sheet Wonder Cards I made.  I wish the photos were better, but I had to make do in the condo at the beach without good lighting.

Tarheel Stamper - Fun at the Beach Scrapbook Page

Made both of these pages on My Digital Studio!  Love that program.   This is our last day at the beach.  Tomorrow we will drive home.  I miss my family, dogs, and home, but this was a fun and relaxing time with my sweetheart!

Tarheel Stamper - Snowflake Trio on a Slant

Click on photos for larger view.

I made this card from a One Sheet Wonder pattern I found on the internet.  I used Sincere Snowflakes in Pool Party, Marina Mist, and Pacific Point Classic Inks on Whisper White card stock.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.   Love this card!  This is a sketch challenge from Try Stampin' On Tuesday.

The snowflakes were punched from Whisper White which was sprayed with shimmer spray I made with alcohol and our Frost White Shimmer Paint.  Please be careful if you use an alcohol spray.  Make sure to use it in a well ventilated area.   I will be sharing more of the cards shown below in the next week or two.

Have a great day,

Tarheel Stamper - Ornaments Scrapbook Page

Ornaments Scrapbook Page

My hubby and I are on a little getaway to the beach.  We have been blessed with nice weather.  Supposed to be 72 today!  Yahoo!  Sadly our vacation ends today, tomorrow it is back home.
I made this scrapbook page on My Digital Studio yesterday while we were chilling.  I used the Christmas Jingle Designer Album kit, but added the Christmas tree in Whisper White from the Christmas Lodge brush (stamp) set.

Tarheel Stamper Happy Turkey Day

Happy Turkey Day!

Found instructions for this cute turkey on another blog.  I realized afterwards that I had put the turkey wings on the wrong oval, but it is still cute!  I used a scallop circle card stock to make the turkey stand up.  The Designer Series Paper is from the Regals Patterns pack.

Hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Tarheel Stamper Snowflake Trio

Here are three quick and easy cards.   I heat embossed the swirly image from Wedding Sweet in Whisper White.  I wanted it to look like a wind swirl and had this image on hand.   All of the Designer Series Paper is from the Frostwood Lodge pack available in the Holiday Mini catalog.  Punched three snowflakes with the, you guessed it, Snowflake punch.  A Basic Rhinestone is adhered to the center of the snowflakes.  I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border and Scallop Edge Border punches for the bottom edging.  Card stock colors are Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler.  Ink used are  Versamark and Cherry Cobbler.   These would be easy to mass produce.  I saw something similar on another blog, but I cannot find the paper.  Tomorrow I will be sharing a small turkey I made.  Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Have a great day,

Tarheel Stamper - Happy Veteran's Day! 11-11-11

Happy Veteran's Day to all those who have and are serving and sacrificing for our country!
A big thanks to my husband for his 20 years served in the US Army,  my brother-in-law for his service in the Navy, my Dad for his service in the Air Force, my nephew in the Air Force, and uncles in various branches.

Tarheel Stamper - Faux Pinwheel Square Christmas Card

Click on photos for larger views.

1. Glue 2 - 2 3/4" squares Early Espresso together as shown on card above.

2. Punch 8 squares of DSP with the Postage Stamp punch.

3. Apply adhesive to one side only on each square, start gluing down each square in the corners of the Early Espresso pieces while overlapping each one. On the eighth one, you will lift up the edge of the first square and slip one side under that.

4. Punch 2 - 5 Petal Flower shapes and curl tips of petals slightly. Layer and glue 2 flowers on top of each other. Punch Itty Bitty flower from Dafodil Delight. Using stylus emboss dots on the flower. Glue on top of the 5 Petal flowers. Punch 3 leaves with the Blossoms Petals Builder punch from Wild Wasabi. Glue on back of flower. Glue the completed flower over the center of the pinwheel with dimensional.

5. Punch 4 Postage Stamp shapes from the 3 1/2" square of Very Vanilla. Cut each square in half diagonally. Glue to back of pinwheel shape on each corner of the Early Espresso.

6. Run through 4 3/4" Cherry Cobbler through Big Shot in the Snowburst folder. All of it will not fit, so run it back through in the folder with the area not embossed in the folder. Only put the plate on top of the area you want to emboss so it will not press down on the cardstock already embossed.

7. Score the cardbase at 5" and fold. Glue the embossed piece on front of card. Then add pinwheel.

8. Stamp sentiment in Cherry Cobbler and pine branches in Wild Wasabi inside and add small strip of dsp on bottom.

Supplies used:

Stamp set - Clear Mount Christmas Lodge (Item# 123769)

Punches - 5 Petal Flower (Item# 119669), Itty Bitty Shapes pack (Item# 118309), Postage Stamp 1/4" x 5" strip

Ink - Cherry Cobbler (Item# 119669), Wild Wasabi (Item# 109014)

Snowburst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (Item# 124096)

Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Specialty Paper - (Item# 124004) approximately 6 1/2 square for 8 punched squares,

Cardstock - Very Vanilla - 10" x 5" and 3 1/2" square for the 4 Postage stamp punched pieces for mat, scrap of Wild Wasabi for 3 leaves (petals) punched pieces

Cherry Cobbler - 4 3/4" square

Early Espresso - 2 - 2 3/4" squares

Dafodil Delight - small piece to punch Itty Bitty flower

This is a fun card to make since it is not the tradition A2 size.  Fun part is picking out the designer series paper which is easier because Stampin' Up!'s is two sided.  So I was able to punch from the same sheet of paper.

Have a wonderful day,

Tarheel Stamper - Christmas Pinwheel

I cased this card from Tami White.  I changed the colors, designer series paper, and used an embossing folder.  This is a faux pinwheel look.  The Designer Series Specialty Paper is Holly Berry Bouquet.  I used the new Dazzling Details available in the Holiday Mini for the bird's eye.  Love the precise applicator tip.  I have used the new Impressions Folder Snowburst a lot lately.  It has such a deep impression and fast and easy way to make a great background.   Colors are Cherry Cobbler, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, and Chocolate Chip.

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Tarheel Stamper Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer Card

Click on photos for larger view.

This is such a fun card.  I saw a Rudolph made with the Stocking builder punch and it was so cute so I wanted to make one with the Sizzix Bigz Holiday Stocking die.  The photo with the pieces I used does not show Rudolph's smile.  To make the smile, I punched a circle out of Chocolate Chip and then positioned the circle punch over the punched out area a little off that to get the smile.  I used the Snowburst embossing folder on Rudolph.   The Signo white gel pen is great for adding highlights to the nose and eye.  The "antlers" are from the Snowflake #2 Bigz Die. The holly leaves were cut from the Stocking Accents die. The jingle bell is available in the Holiday Mini Catalog and is tied on with Cherry Cobbler baker's twine.  Colors used are Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Garden Green.  Hope you enjoy seeing the card and making one too!

Have a great day!

Another Christmas card I mailed to my Monday Mailers partner.  If you are a NC demo, this is such a great group.  We share business tips, ask questions of each other, and they plan quarterlies.  I have not been able to go to one, but I hear they are a blast.  It is a great group of stampers and I have learned a lot through this Yahoo group!

On to the card.  I used my lonely Lattice Sizzix die on this one.  Colors are Real Red, Garden Green, and Whisper White.  I used the Blossoms Petal Builder punch for the poinsettia and ran it through the Big Shot inside the Northern Flurry embossing folder. The Tasteful Trim XL Garden Green piece was run through the Big Shot with the Holiday Mini's Snowburst Embossing Folder.  The Merry Christmas is from Teeny Tiny Wishes punched out with the Word Window punch and layered on a Real Red piece punched out with the Modern Label punch.  Rhinestones are on the ends of this.  Below is a photo of the pieces I used to make the poinsettia.  It is the smaller petal on the punch.  I glued two layers of 7 petals on the 3/4" circle and then added the small rhinestones on the center of the flower after I ran it through the embossing folder.

Tarheel Stamper - Gold Leaves and Acorns

click on photos for a larger view

Hi Stampin' Friends!  The card is made with the Day of Gratitude clear mount stamp set  One thing I love about the clear mount stamps is I can put three stamps on a single block and stamp at the same time.  I stamped Happy Thanksgiving from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set in Chocolate Chip.  Punched that out with the Word Window punch and matted with the Modern Label punched piece.  The color is Chocolate Chip base and Very Vanilla inside.  The embossed areas were stamped in Versamark ink and then heat embossed with gold powder.  I cut a strip of embossed card stock and glued inside. I used Finial Press Impressions folder on the bottom area of the card.  Next I used the Versamark pad on that embossed area and sprinkled with gold embossing powder.  The Stampin' Up! gold embossing powder is very fine and great for detail images and melts quickly.

This is a Monday Mailer card for my NC Demo Yahoo group so I hope she isn't looking at it since she will get it next week in the mail.  LOL

Fall is not in the air here. We are in the 80's and I am loving it. I did get a few fall decorations out and have some photos of fall items in the house.

Hope you have a wonderful fall day,
